WHO WE ARE
JMU GIVE is a community of students who work to create a more sustainable and connected community in the Harrisonburg area. By volunteering locally we build relationships, create change, and are lifelong learners.
WHAT WE DO
Volunteering locally
We have many opportunities accessible to JMU students, many that promote learning about environmental practices. In addition to this we have opportunities which involved helping our local community in small ways which have a large impact, more details on these can be found in our volunteering page.

Community connection
In addition to promoting sustainable practices and volunteering we are passionate about having a good time while helping our local communities and earth. We often have small club hangouts, watching sunset, many potlucks, fundraising events, and organization wide parties.

Environmental good
We are also very passionate about learning more about sustainable practices and getting out into nature. We often go on hikes as an organization, and had the opportunity to adopt our own trail. Additionally, we raise money for organizations which foster environmental practices.

Like-minded group
Our members are a group of passionate individuals with lots of passion for the environment. Many of our 300+ members find lifelong friends and a community that makes them feel comfortable and accepted.
